Our Bernese mountain dog puppy just graduated from Aunt Penny's puppy class. Not only did Mabel learn so much but we as puppy owners have gained confidence in introducing our puppy to new places, people and other dogs. We knew socialization early on was key in having a relaxed, non-reactive grown-up dog in the future and we're so very glad that we found Aunt Penny to help us begin that journey and to lead us in a positive way. We've had a blast in class with our puppy and will be returning for the obedience classes Aunt Penny offers.
Our Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Obie is graduating his basic manners class tonight. We enrolled him in puppy class and continued thru to basic manners. Obie was very shy his 1st puppy class but ended up loving all his friends, especially Mabel, who is a Bernese mountain dog 🙂 Not only did Obie learn a lot, but us as dog owners have learned a great wealth of information and how to handle certain situations to keep our little guy at ease and to be a non-reactive dog. It has been a great 12 weeks and I can't thank Penny enough for how great of a trainer she is!
Aunt Penny is wonderful! The 'DOGS and STORKS' class is a must if you are having a baby or already have little ones! We also had Penny come to our house to help us with some additional training for our two dogs. We weren't sure if we
were going to be able to handle the dogs (pit mixes) and our new baby and it was an overwhelming time for us. Penny helped us eliminate our fears and anxiety and gave us the tools we needed to prepare our dogs for the baby. We are much better educated dog owners now and our family is forever grateful for the help we received from Penny.
Thanks Aunt Penny!
Aunt Penny was amazing. She came to our home to help with acclimating our dogs to our newborn. She gave us so many wonderful resources and ideas that we could begin to implement immediately. I wish she could have just stayed with us forever smile emoticon. She was wonderful towards our dogs and they immediately respected her. We would highly recommend her to anyone in need of training, especially with babies or toddlers.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I just wanted to tell you how very pleased I was by our pet sitting experience this past weekend. Kelly & Vicki kept me well informed via text & even sent photos, the icing on the cake. I've never used professional pet sitters before & Daisy has never been left with anyone but family. We used the --(-kennel name deleted)-- years ago with Duncan & it was a stressful experience for him. I really enjoyed our weekend away knowing my animals were in such caring, responsible hands and in their own familiar environment. I will most definitely be using your valuable service in the future. Please give my thanks to both Kelly & Vicki.
If you had told me earlier we would have been enthralled by a 2 hour presentation on canine aggression I would have never believed it but I can tell you it was nonstop conversation about your presentation all the way home today. The story of the resource (tennis ball ) and the Nuns reminded me of an earlier dog that we had that did not like sticks and we could not figure out why he did not like my uncle until we realized it was his cane he did not like.
“As a professional pet sitter I have found Aunt Penny’s Dog Aggression classes to be invaluable. I care for dogs in their home. Because of the insights gained from Penny's classes I have a much better understanding of a dog’s demeanor. Using the techniques she taught has actually helped me avoid getting into some very difficult situations with dogs that were not too thrilled to have me in their home alone with them. I highly recommend Aunt Penny’s classes to anyone who has a lot of contact with dogs. She has an excellent presentation with so much information! Thank you, Penny!”
I was in my second year of grad school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. Between working full time, and my classes and clinical obligations, I was very stressed trying to get home in time, so that our yellow labrador, Nyah would not have to wait too long before going out.
We found Aunt Penney who was a life saver!!! She has been great!! Nyah is very shy and took to Penny right away. Even with the bad weather last year, she was able to make it to our house to take care of Nyah.
My husband has to travel for his work and I have since graduated, but we still use Aunt Penny’s services.
Thank you for your excellent professional service.

Thank you for the incredible, loving care given our sweet dog Missy while we were away! We feel so blessed to have discovered you and are exceedingly impressed with how professional your company is.
Our assigned pet sitter Layla was remarkable! She was so caring of Missy and would keep me abreast of things via texts; she also wrote detailed notes about each day regarding her time with Missy, routine, concerns, and cute things about Missy as well. In addition because Missy was not eating well (it was the first time she has ever not had at least one family member around her) Layla contacted me with an idea to solve the problem which worked brilliantly! Talk about going the extra mile 🙂
Everything from reading your informative website to the simple, efficient new client sign up process was terrific. I was impressed with your kind, genuine personality when I initially met you and equally impressed with the results you provided us. Peace of mind!
Our sincere thanks Aunt Penny 🙂

"I know I am not your "usual" household pet. But Aunt Penny takes care of me as well as all her dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits! She is always there for me every day. She opens my coop, gives me fresh water and feed. She even knows what treats I like. She brings me apples, lettuce and grapes. I don't have to worry when my Mom and Dad go away because Aunt Penny is just as caring and loving. Sometimes I even lay her a nice brown egg just to say...Thanks Aunt Penny - for taking care of me!!!"
We returned home from our trip late last night, Our dogs were very well taken care of and safe. Kelly took care of Freda and Brinks as if they were her own animals, She did a fantastic job and would recommend her to anyone we know that has animals. We really appreciate what and how she did her job. It made our trip that much more relaxing to know that our animals were in Kelly's care. We will definitely use your services again on our next trip. Again you have a great employee and person to represent your company.

Aunt Penny’s Pet Sitting is the best thing that ever happened to my two girls and me. I have complete peace of mind when I work long hours because I know that Penny is going to stop by the house take the girls outside and allow them to expend some of their energy. She actually wore out my two year old, which I only can do if I take her to the dog park for hours. Penny shares her wealth of dog/animal knowledge when it comes to helpful websites that provide dog toys that are for tough chewers and different ideas when it comes to correcting my overactive eater. She is even going to teach me the games she plays with the girls since they like them so much.
Thanks for everything, you are the best!!!!

Our first experience with Aunt Penny's was wonderful! Both of our kitties were incredibly happy with the attention and playtime they received while we were out of town. Joann, the sitter, did an excellent job! As first time pet sitting clients, Aunt Penny was very flexible with our Getting Acquainted meeting. She was able to meet in the evening and was extremely professional and organized. We will definitely be using Aunt Penny's Pet Sitting in the future!

We are so happy we finally have found Aunt Penny. We have been looking for a pet sitting and pet taxi service, but never found anyone we were comfortable enough to entrust our home and pets to such a service. We had a very thorough & informative interview with Aunt Penny. Her credentials speak for themselves. She was wonderful with our 2 golden retrievers and had great advice on specific health issues. She went above and beyond in her initial visit with us. We both felt comfortable and reassured that our pets would be in the best care possible with Aunt Penny. She taxied our goldens from the Cozy Inn Pet Spa to our home. It was great to have our pets arrive home just as we returned from our trip. She was prompt and handled everything beautifully. We expect to have a long future with Aunt Penny. We are thankful to have found her!

IRIS was a rescue, completely untrained, and never had contact with people so we did our homework researching and in some cases, viewing, many of the local training seminars and trainers. We decided on Aunt Penny because of her extensive knowledge/experience and patience with dogs and their humans!
Aunt Penny’s training methods are wonderful!! She uses positive reinforcement, whilst being very creative, adapting to the dog’s learning capacity instantly, and is incredibly patient, calm, and gentle.
After the first training session, Iris was calmer, responding to verbal and physical training cues. Only a few sessions later, and Iris is incredibly well-behaved and has learned amongst other things, not to be afraid of people, not to tug on a leash, leave food, not jump and no barking! Also, Aunt Penny taught her not to run outside through an open door, to stop herding our cats and even two tricks!
Iris’s Mom has Muscular Dystrophy, facing daily challenges with muscular weakness, difficulty with fine motor skills and trouble with coordination and balance. Aunt Penny owns and trains service dogs and incorporates her expertise with Iris. This week Iris is going to learn how to retrieve a phone to help her Mom!
We have had so many positive comments about how well-behaved and trained Iris is (including the Vet and two training programs that we researched!) that we have to thank Aunt Penny for the difference she has made in Iris’s life … she has taken a scared, mistreated dog and turned her into a loving, responsive, and happy addition to our family.
I have known Penny Layne for years and I know her pet experience to be extensive. She is able to care for all types of pets and her training back ground makes her particularly well suited for pet sitting especially for those dogs that may have some special needs or if you have a multi-pet home. I will be using Aunt Penny’s service when I attend a conference in April and I trust them to take excellent care of my four dogs. I know that Aunt Penny’s service will be able to read my pets behavior and respond since one of my dogs has severe separation issues and he can be “difficult” while I am away.

When a company performs in an exemplary manner, I believe it’s nice to let them know just how much that is appreciated!
From the time I contacted your company, Aunt Penny’s Pet Sitting, in November 2009, to discuss your company caring for my two dogs while I was away on vacation, I have been and continue to be so impressed with it! Your professionalism, thoroughness, and commitment to providing the best care for Shorty and Jordan is appreciated more than I could ever express! For over 10 years, my dogs have been and continue to be my loving, loyal companions and finding someone I have complete trust in to be there when I cannot is a blessing! It is so wonderful to have your company there whenever the need arises. Thank you so much, Penny…oh, and Shorty and Jordan say, “Thank you, too!” God Bless!!

I just wanted to say that Kelley did an excellent job taking care of Stewie while we were away. He looked fantastic when we returned and I almost think he wants us to go away again (Or at the very least, the dogs can go away again). I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking for someone who will take excellent care of their pets while they are away. I look forward to utilizing your services in the future and I know Stewie can\'t wait to see Kelley again.
Thanks so much!

I was a relatively new client of Aunt Penny's during the blizzard of 2010. I was out of the country for 10 days, starting the day the snow began. The roads were virtually impassable, parking was impossible, but Penny made it to take care of my cat. She sent me daily emails on the condition of my cat (fine) and my house (not so fine). She assured me that emergency plans were in place to evacuate any pets from homes that lost power. She also cleaned up from the leaking ceiling. In addition, she let me know that my very shy cat was starting to come out for her and that they were playing a hunting game together. Needless to say, the daily emails went a long way towards easing my anxiety.
I have used Penny's services many times since and always come home to a content cat and a clean house. Thanks Penny.

There seemed to be a very personal touch to Jennie and Jake's care. Jennie is going through a period of extremely finicky eating. She's on one day and off the next. Brenda took the time to figure out how to encourage Jennie to eat. She slightly warmed the food and eventually did some spoon feeding to encourage Jen. In my book, that kind of care is really going the extra mile and I'm very appreciative.

I had a wonderful trip and I could not be more pleased with the care that “my baby” received. On prior trips he has been noticeably upset when I returned. This time I was met at the door with a health, happy, exuberant and enthusiastic lab!
I really appreciated the daily notes and reports that your staff left for me. Each one showed that they took time to get to know my pet and that he was well cared for according to my instructions. I also appreciate that they were so willing to work with my mother and the last minute change in Jester’s health. My mother’s ability to stay with Jester on a few nights was one of her first activities after her recent cancer treatment and neither my trip nor her gift to me would have been possible without your wonderful service and caring staff!

We picked up Maxwell and Murphy on August 21st, and Aunt Penny's began coming over August 23rd. With 2 puppies on our hands, the energy level can get a little crazy sometimes; but the boys are much more manageable in the evenings after having walks with Robin. It's obvious that they play, go outside, and are cared for. It's the little things that add up with Aunt Penny's: notes when we come home on how the boys were, the dog toys are always neatened up, and we are always able to get a hold of someone from Aunt Penny's if we have a question. We are so glad that we chose Aunt Penny's as our pet sitting service, and it's obvious that Maxwell and Murphy love them too!

Thank you for sending Kelley to us, while we were away both in August & last week. She is just great with giving Toby & Charcoal fluids for their kidney insufficiency. I had peace of mind knowing she was caring for my cats while I was gone. What a great service you provide, and I\'m happy to have found you. Thank you again for all you do.
