We picked up Maxwell and Murphy on August 21st, and Aunt Penny's began coming over August 23rd. With 2 puppies on our hands, the energy level can get a little crazy sometimes; but the boys are much more manageable in the evenings after having walks with Robin. It's obvious that they play, go outside, and are cared for. It's the little things that add up with Aunt Penny's: notes when we come home on how the boys were, the dog toys are always neatened up, and we are always able to get a hold of someone from Aunt Penny's if we have a question. We are so glad that we chose Aunt Penny's as our pet sitting service, and it's obvious that Maxwell and Murphy love them too!

I had a wonderful trip and I could not be more pleased with the care that “my baby” received. On prior trips he has been noticeably upset when I returned. This time I was met at the door with a health, happy, exuberant and enthusiastic lab!

I really appreciated the daily notes and reports that your staff left for me. Each one showed that they took time to get to know my pet and that he was well cared for according to my instructions. I also appreciate that they were so willing to work with my mother and the last minute change in Jester’s health. My mother’s ability to stay with Jester on a few nights was one of her first activities after her recent cancer treatment and neither my trip nor her gift to me would have been possible without your wonderful service and caring staff!

There seemed to be a very personal touch to Jennie and Jake's care. Jennie is going through a period of extremely finicky eating. She's on one day and off the next. Brenda took the time to figure out how to encourage Jennie to eat. She slightly warmed the food and eventually did some spoon feeding to encourage Jen. In my book, that kind of care is really going the extra mile and I'm very appreciative.

I was a relatively new client of Aunt Penny's during the blizzard of 2010. I was out of the country for 10 days, starting the day the snow began. The roads were virtually impassable, parking was impossible, but Penny made it to take care of my cat. She sent me daily emails on the condition of my cat (fine) and my house (not so fine). She assured me that emergency plans were in place to evacuate any pets from homes that lost power. She also cleaned up from the leaking ceiling. In addition, she let me know that my very shy cat was starting to come out for her and that they were playing a hunting game together. Needless to say, the daily emails went a long way towards easing my anxiety.
I have used Penny's services many times since and always come home to a content cat and a clean house. Thanks Penny.

I have known Penny Layne for years and I know her pet experience to be extensive. She is able to care for all types of pets and her training back ground makes her particularly well suited for pet sitting especially for those dogs that may have some special needs or if you have a multi-pet home. I will be using Aunt Penny’s service when I attend a conference in April and I trust them to take excellent care of my four dogs. I know that Aunt Penny’s service will be able to read my pets behavior and respond since one of my dogs has severe separation issues and he can be “difficult” while I am away.

TRAINING Praises!

IRIS was a rescue, completely untrained, and never had contact with people so we did our homework researching and in some cases, viewing, many of the local training seminars and trainers. We decided on Aunt Penny because of her extensive knowledge/experience and patience with dogs and their humans!

Aunt Penny’s training methods are wonderful!! She uses positive reinforcement, whilst being very creative, adapting to the dog’s learning capacity instantly, and is incredibly patient, calm, and gentle.

After the first training session, Iris was calmer, responding to verbal and physical training cues. Only a few sessions later, and Iris is incredibly well-behaved and has learned amongst other things, not to be afraid of people, not to tug on a leash, leave food, not jump and no barking! Also, Aunt Penny taught her not to run outside through an open door, to stop herding our cats and even two tricks!

Iris’s Mom has Muscular Dystrophy, facing daily challenges with muscular weakness, difficulty with fine motor skills and trouble with coordination and balance. Aunt Penny owns and trains service dogs and incorporates her expertise with Iris. This week Iris is going to learn how to retrieve a phone to help her Mom!

We have had so many positive comments about how well-behaved and trained Iris is (including the Vet and two training programs that we researched!) that we have to thank Aunt Penny for the difference she has made in Iris’s life … she has taken a scared, mistreated dog and turned her into a loving, responsive, and happy addition to our family.

Our first experience with Aunt Penny's was wonderful! Both of our kitties were incredibly happy with the attention and playtime they received while we were out of town. Aunt Penny’s Pet Sitting is the best thing that ever happened to my two girls and me. We returned home from our trip late last night, Our dogs were very well taken care of and safe. "I know I am not your "usual" household pet. But Aunt Penny takes care of me as well as all her dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits! She is always there for me every day. She opens my coop, gives me fresh water and feed. She even knows what treats I like. She brings me apples, lettuce and grapes. I don't have to worry when my Mom and Dad go away because Aunt Penny is just as caring and loving. Sometimes I even lay her a nice brown egg just to say...Thanks Aunt Penny - for taking care of me!!!"
